About Socket

Founded in 2021, Socket Labs is a tech startup building infrastructure to make it easy for developers and users to interact and compose across chains/rollups via our unique chain-abstraction protocol. We are a small team of 20-30 people and intend to remain as small as possible for as long as possible. Our sole focus is creating impact for the end users and developers. We have done multiple funding rounds and are backed by marquee investors including Framework Ventures, Nascent Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Archetype, Lightspeed Ventures, and notable angels like Mark Cuban.

About the role

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to assist developers and projects built on our protocol. As the frontline representative of our team, you will be expected to understand the Socket protocol and the external project you are supporting. Your duties will include providing technical support during integration, offering insights to the product and engineering teams, and addressing documentation gaps. This role demands the ability to communicate effectively with developers across various levels of the stack and sectors, such as DeFi, gaming, and NFT. A high degree of commitment is required. As a crucial member of our compact, high-performing team, you will be expected to make a significant impact.

What you’ll do

• You will work with 100s of external teams to help them build on Socket by providing technical assistance, crisp/clear communication, educating them and helping them win long-term
• You will develop content and code(CLIs, developer tooling etc), documentation, diagrams or whatever else is needed by external teams to understand and build on Socket clearly
• You will work with our engineering, product and business development teams and help them ingest insights from your work with external teams
• You will be reading code, debugging, and reading between the lines, logs will be an everyday thing and correspond with integrators

• You have helped build an ecosystem from 0→1 before in some capacity
• You have written production code before and have an “I can figure it out” attitude
• You can question, reason, and prioritise feedback
• You deeply value good and clear communication and collaboration
• You are located within GMT +0 to GMT +7 time zones to sync effectively with the team
