Your Purpose 

As a Senior Engineer in our R&D team, you will help as a primary driver of the vision for product, technology and processes across the company and champion initiatives in support of that vision.You will team up with multiple stakeholders to develop solutions that will enable financial inclusion for millions of Latin American customers.

What You Will Do 

• Lead an autonomous team working on research and development proof-of-concept projects, focussed on yielding novel products or product features for the primary Bitso offering.
• Show initiative in exploring the cutting edge of cryptocurrency and other technologies that might benefit Bitso.
• Keep up to date on industry developments and concerns.
• Work closely with the wider Bitso product teams to understand their roadmaps and visions.
• Coordinate technical and non-technical discussions inside and outside of the company.
• Be a public referent of Bitso, participating in conferences as speaker or as a host.
• Have a sense of responsibility and obligation to act on opportunities that they see across the engineering org/company, or with external partners.
• Transcend organisational boundaries by taking a holistic view of company’s goals and taking responsibility of long-term vision.
• Ensure that as a company, we are following industry standards.
• Push the creation, use and contribution to open-source libraries.
• Apply cross domain knowledge to solve complex problems with elegant technical solutions that are well integrated with the existing environment, delivering high quality code.
• Take primary responsibility for offering strategic technical direction for the company.
