About the team:

The Payrix team is a passionate, global team of payments and software experts who provide vertical software companies with an all-in-one platform and a white-glove approach, to capitalize on the opportunities within embedded payments for growth, innovation, and transformation. Our clients are leading vertical software providers that want to make their products stickier and grow revenue by offering payment solutions to their end-customers.

What you’ll own:

As a Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer, you work with cutting edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks, and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical best practices, and interacting with other engineering groups.

Where you’ll own it:

​

- Working with a great engineering team to solve complex problems.

​

- Contributing to building a scalable platform, employing engineering best practices, on top of AWS.

​

- Collaborating to help refine our business requirements and evolve our payments platform.

​

- Fully owning the services that you and your team are building.

​

- Participating in team code reviews.

​

- Mentoring less experienced team members, helping them to become successful within the team and the project.

​

- Working with technical and non-technical people outside the team as it relates to team-owned projects/features

What you bring:

- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 4-6+ years’ experience with software development, including expert knowledge of best practices, including code architectural patterns (Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, Model View Controller, etc.) and code design principles and patterns (SOLID principles, Observer pattern, Object Relational Mapping, Factory Pattern, Repository Pattern, etc.), with demonstrated ability to properly apply them as needed.

- Full-stack software delivery experience.

- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

- Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle stages and best practices around each stage.

- Demonstrated ability to technically own the delivery of medium sized features, involving multiple people within the team.

- Have the ability to operationally own the projects under the team’s scope.

- Experience coding with PHP and Angular (or similar coding languages)

​

Added bonus if you have:

- Experience with modern PHP and/or Angular (specific tech stack within this team)

​

- Fintech or payments/banking product development.
