About the role
As a Developer Relations Engineer within the Growth team, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering relationships between the AtomOne community, our engineering team and our Growth team, and more generally the larger blockchain communities.
Your primary focus will be on developer advocacy programs specifically for AtomOne by kickstarting and supporting technical community initiatives and strategies to develop, educate, and expand the AtomOne ecosystem.
Additionally, you will be in charge of identifying new and creative ways to educate and attract developers, leveraging growth hacking strategies to maximize community engagement and adoption of AtomOne, creating and validating technical content, developing documentation and tutorials, and providing community support for more advanced technical needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain developer onboarding resources (such as quick start guides, technical documentation, tutorials, step baby step guides) to help new developers get up to speed quickly with the product.
- Build and maintain tools, sample code, and resources that improve the developer experience and simplify integrations. Where applicable, support the creation and maintenance of third-party integrations or plugins to facilitate product adoption
- Oversee and engage with community contributions by regularly reviewing pull requests, recognizing valuable contributors, and organizing programs to support and encourage active community involvement.
- Write and proof technical content to be used for a variety of purposes and platforms including but not limited to product comparisons, product and tech research papers, presentation materials for workshops, speaking engagements, online activities, website copy, blog posts, etc.
- Work with the growth and the engineering teams to help organize and support technical events like hackathons, bug bounty programs, incentivized testnets
- Lead live coding sessions and workshops, developer specific calls or community Townhalls and when needed present at online or in-person events.
- Interact with the developer community by answering questions or providing guidance on specific developer channels like Discord, forum, Twitter, Reddit or others.
- Engage with the developer community to gather feedback, understand their challenges, and leverage these insights to drive product improvements.
- Define and track key metrics for developer engagement, satisfaction, and adoption, and use this data to measure the impact of DevRel efforts to guide ongoing strategy.
- Identify key developer and contributors profiles and explore innovative strategies to engage them, including discovering new channels, unique outreach methods, and tailored messaging approaches that resonate with diverse segments of the developer community.
- Maintain a deep understanding of product updates and contribute to its growth by continuously researching and proposing improvements.
Basic Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in engineering, with a strong ability to read, write, debug, test, document, and review code.
- Must be based in the US, with the ability to collaborate across time zones, including overlap with both our European and US West Coast teams.
- Proficiency in system-level programming languages such as C, Rust, or similar languages.
- Proven experience in public speaking, including delivering technical presentations (both video and in-person), and hosting developer workshops or technical walkthroughs. Please provide samples of past presentations or workshops with your application.
- Demonstrated involvement in open-source communities, with a track record of collaboration, community support, and transparent communication in a collaborative development environment.
- Strong background in producing high-quality technical content (e.g., blogs, tutorials, and documentation) for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
- Experience working in Blockchain and Web3 projects is highly preferred.
Nice to haves:
- Proficiency in Golang is a plus.
