About the Role
iCapital is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to help lead various buildouts of the annuity’s platform at iCapital. This individual will be working in a collaborative, results-driven environment with smart, hardworking teammates who are motivated to solve fun and complex industry-wide problems. This role works directly with wealth management firms, financial advisors, insurance carriers, and wholesalers to bring scale, analysis, and efficiency to the annuities industry.
This is an opportunity to utilize the latest technologies and innovative solutions, with room to grow and broaden responsibilities as the company grows. The ideal candidate will own, lead, and deliver various solutions with direct oversight of product building from start to finish. This role will identify unmet needs, define requirements, write user stories, develop project communication plans, and test product features. Responsibilities
- Engage with wealth management firms, financial advisors, insurance carriers, and wholesalers to identify gaps in the market and propose innovative solutions to address unmet needs in the annuities industry.
- Define product requirements by writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for software engineers.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of product feature development from conception to launch, including testing and iteration.
- Embrace a fast-paced, agile development environment, deploying quickly to learn and iterate based on feedback.
- Own the product roadmap for specific features or segments of the platform, determine prioritization, and ensure that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and align product vision and strategy.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project communication plans, ensure transparency and alignment across teams such as sales, marketing, engineering, and other product lines.
- Investigate bugs and, when appropriate, identify tactical solutions to production issues impacting users.
- Monitor the performance of product features post-launch and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team to maintain high standards of work, product quality, and communication.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably within fintech, wealth management, or related industries.
- A willingness and initiative to become an expert in the annuities space, understanding both the product intricacies and wider industry to drive informed decision making and product leadership
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a results-driven, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record of solving complex, unfamiliar problems through innovative solutions
- Experience with agile methodologies and a mindset that embraces quick deployment, learning, and iteration
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and effective project communication plans
- A customer-centric approach, with experience engaging directly with clients to gather insights and feedback
- Technical acumen and comfortable working closely with engineering teams to solve problems and complete projects
- Detail-oriented and able to write comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria
- Able to be flexible and adaptable to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing demands and timelines
- Desire to grow and take on increasing responsibilities within a rapidly expanding company
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
