We are excited to be growing our Strategic GTM team. The Strategic GTM team at Plaid is responsible for market-based insights to influence our product roadmap, developing go-to-market strategy, and driving launch, adoption, and commercialization of new products. This role is focused on our evolving open finance / connectivity solutions for Plaid customers, which include thousands of fintech apps and products. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a strong point of view on how the fintech ecosystem is developing, working closely with our Product team to scope the products we need to bring to market, and driving product-market-fit and GTM for new products end-to-end. You will help ensure that we have holistic and compelling narrative and positioning for our suites of products, and that we’re bringing to market the right solutions that meet the forward-looking needs of our customers amidst a rapidly evolving policy and regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product on our roadmap to ensure we’re building the right solutions based on current and evolving customer needs, market dynamics, regulatory/policy dynamics, etc.; ensure that we’re achieving product-market-fit.
- Develop end to end go-to-market strategies in close collaboration with Product, Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, and other relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive execution of the GTM plans that you develop, working across functions, anticipating needs and resource gaps, and developing positioning, narrative, and other materials to enable successful launch and scaling of new products.
- Develop a strong point of view on the evolving ecosystem and our future roadmap, working closely with Sales, Partnerships, Policy, and other relevant stakeholders to assess the ecosystem holistically.
- Influence cross-functionally across Product, Design, Sales, and Growth to drive alignment on GTM strategy, narrative, and priorities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in product marketing, product partnerships, strategic sales / account management, or other strategic GTM roles in fintech (preferable) or broader tech.
- Experience in fintech and/or financial services; excitement about open finance and open banking.
- Experience with, and passion for, both product strategy and GTM strategy & execution; comfortable getting deep on product details while also going deep with in-market teams on partner/market needs.
- Strong presence and verbal communicator – comfortable leading through influence and working seamlessly across functions, as well as engaging with leaders at Plaid’s industry/banking partners.
- Outstanding written communication skills – comfortable developing marketing and sales collateral, distilling complex information, as well as articulating our strategy with internal stakeholders (e.g. business cases, strategic analyses.).
- Highly analytical – comfortable working with data, evaluating ROI, reviewing dashboards, clearly scoping data asks to technical counterparts.
- Thoughtful strategic thinker with a bias for action and a creative mind; comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
- Desire to engage deeply with cross-functional partners across Product, Design, Sales, and Marketing.
