You will be joining a team of former accountants, engineers, and analysts who work towards building scalable financial back-end products to support our global multi-currency marketplace by automating systems and creating processes, internal tooling, and reporting.
Your expertise in accounting and finance will be greatly utilized in day-to-day work and to drive development efforts on many projects. You will use SQL, SSRS, Tableau, and will contribute to the SDLC (software development life cycle), the testing of new engineering solutions, data ETL (extract, transform, load), and driving processes of our in-house FinTech solutions.
Your main stakeholder will be our Finance and Accounting team who will need your expertise on monthly reconciliations, transaction reports and analysis to support the GL Accounts, audit, and much more. You will also be working very closely with our engineers on driving automation, integrating with new payment service providers, supporting new company growth projects, and finding a needle in the haystack.
What You'll Do:
- Build scalable product for partnership deals reporting. Translate business requirements to data solutions and write complex SQL queries to build supporting reports
- Create executive Tableau dashboards to observe financial and business metrics (i.e. year over year trends for GMS, Revenue, take rates, metric to observe data points by genre category)
- Collaborate closely with Data Warehouse and Analytics Engineering team to streamline the reporting process in Snowflake and Tableau
- Drive ETL workstreams to move sensitive data from on-prem to cloud data warehouse and design its structure
- Act as an SME on journal entries logic and financial and business metrics. Oversee engineering efforts to build relevant alerting and checks within financial systems
- Support company projects by advising stakeholders with FinTech requirements
- Assist with building out end-to-end product solutions for gift card and refund domains
- Assist in all accounting audits and reporting requests from legal team
- Reconcile FinTech subledger data to NetSuite and create adjustment journal entries to remediate the discrepancies by writing ad-hoc SQL queries and testing results for correctness and accuracy
- Assist in month-end close processes and reconciliations
What You've Done:
- 4+ years of experience in data analyst or similar positions
- Strong reporting skills using SQL and Tableau/other dashboarding tools
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience analyzing & reconciling high volume, multi-currency transactions
- Comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous spaces and designing their scope
- Has an eye for improvement & a product-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders
- Possess and demonstrate a positive attitude
- Understanding of accounting principles is a plus

The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which also includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
