Plaid’s Corporate FP&A team plays a critical role in shaping our long-term business strategy and execution through management of our financial responsibilities and goals. The team ensures financial stewardship, which includes budget oversight, target tracking, actionable analysis and data-driven insights. The FP&A team’s purpose is to support Plaid in achieving its short-term and long-term financial goals as well as to help inform, articulate, and shape Plaid’s growth trajectory.
In this role you will manage Plaid’s consolidated financial model, including designing analytical and financial frameworks to optimize decision-making and enforce accountability. You will provide our management team, Board, and employees with insights about our performance and how we are tracking towards our company goals. In addition, you will be highly analytical and strategic, and navigate seamlessly between complex details and the big picture.
Responsibilities
- Own critical FP&A processes, including: annual planning, recurring outlook updates, and company-wide financial reporting for our leadership team and Board members
- Work with senior leaders as a strategic partner to solve our most pressing business challenges, answer our most urgent financial questions, and manage the investments that fuel continued growth of our business
- Anticipate the future needs of our FP&A team as Plaid grows in scale and complexity. Proactively implement and oversee the systems, processes and infrastructure necessary to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting
- Distill our business and cost drivers into KPI scorecards that underpin how we communicate financial performance, plan for growth, and predict the future
- Act as the go-to partner for Business Partners and work collaboratively with these groups to drive continuous improvement of our business processes
- In partnership with Accounting, develop and implement policies and controls needed to ensure proper governance
- Contribute to strategic initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Knowledge of FP&A best practices and experience in efficient process implementation
- A penchant for nurturing trusted cross-functional relationships, influencing decisions at the highest levels, and driving alignment on financial targets
- Experience managing FP&A workstreams and multiple cross-functional timelines
- Expert modeling skills, including buildout of full-company consolidation and operating models
- Understanding of SaaS/Technology business models and metrics; ability to evaluate opportunities and risks in financials
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards and working knowledge of technical accounting best practices
$129,600 - $194,400 a year
Target base salary for this role is between $129,600 and $194,400 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
