The role

Our mission is to not only be the #1 provider of shared security for the fast-growing BTC ecosystem (for dApps and infrastructure) but to bring Bitcoin’s security to the rest of crypto. In order to supercharge our mission, we are looking for an Ecosystem Lead to join our team.

You will represent SatLayer in conversations with venture backed projects, major partners, and developers to source, qualify, and close key BVS partnerships for SatLayer. You will be the primary owner of our ecosystem pipeline, creating an organized process in building important partnerships from start to finish.

As our Ecosystem lead, you will shape our strategy, determining priorities and plans to grow SatLayer’s developer adoption. You will bridge the gap between technical considerations and business needs. This role is critical for SatLayer’s growth, and will have a direct impact on a more secure and usable crypto ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Ecosystem strategy: Develop, then deliver on a comprehensive strategy to drive ecosystem growth for SatLayer
• Ecosystem partnerships & pipeline: Conceptualize, implement and manage long- and short-term ecosystem partnerships across multiple SatLayer areas of business, using data, creativity, your network, and market intelligence. Design and implement streamlined, effective processes for prospecting, researching, evaluating, developing, negotiating, executing and managing ecosystem partnerships
• Ongoing relationships: Build deep awareness of, and relationships with prospective relevant BVSes, infrastructure, dApp, and other BTC ecosystem players
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with DevRel and other relevant team members to drive top of funnel and early stage ecosystem growth and on cross-functional projects; work closely with the Engineering team to support key BVS
• Industry tracking: Keep abreast of rapidly-changing ecosystem landscape, technologies and trends and pivot ecosystem approach rapidly as needed
• Management: Over time, the opportunity to build a growing ecosystem team with effective management and processes

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in Web3 ecosystem development with a proven track record of growing new ecosystems
• Strong knowledge and network of Web3 developers, especially BTC and DeFi
• Basic technical fluency for covering initial technical questions from potential partners
• Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Excited to take on ownership and responsibility of key KPIs

Standout qualities

• Active involvement in the Bitcoin or shared security community
• Experience at or working with shared security (e.g., Eigenlayer, Symbiotic), a L1/L2 blockchain, or similar
• Technical background
