The Role
We are looking for a highly driven product leader with experience in managing payments products at large scale. As Director of Product, Payments you will own the vision, strategy and roadmap for all aspects of the Payments ecosystem, including operator experience, customer experience, infrastructure, 3rd party integrations and compliance. You will drive the vision for Peek Pro’s future FinTech offerings that will lead us into the future.
The ideal candidate is an innovative, hands-on product leader with a growth mindset who balances product intuition with analysis and collaboration. This leader is a quick, big thinker that can easily translate strategies down to execution while keeping up the pace of innovation of Peek.
This position will report to the Chief Product Officer, with extensive cross-functional interaction.
Responsibilities
- Bring your deep payments expertise to drive product vision, strategy and roadmap for Peek Pro’s Payments ecosystem
- Advocate for the payments needs of operators & customers, and internal partners and develop a vision for the future of payments products
- Engage extensively with customers, internal teams and external partners in order to gain first hand insight on the business needs & opportunities
- Collaborate with the leadership team in setting and driving our international growth vision and go-to-market strategy. Turn this strategy into actionable business goals, hiring plans and performance metrics
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for innovative products that will strike the right balance between scalable and local
- Work with all cross-functional stakeholders in Finance, Sales, Operations, Product & Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to ensure payments supports Peek’s holistic strategy and success
- Create plans and manage to them rigorously in an agile environment
- Be a role model of cross-functional collaboration and customer orientation, action-orientation, and of leveraging those skills to achieve great results in the presence of ambiguity
Desired Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibility, leadership & impact. Expert in product planning, defining & launching successful products, leading product initiatives preferably for large-scale marketplaces
- Strong understanding of the payments industry and experience with payments regulations and compliance
- Demonstrated success scaling a fast growing tech company internationally
- Demonstrated data driven leadership at scale to identify new market opportunities, create strategic plans and deliver results
- Strong engineering aptitude – be effective at using your technical depth to partner with and earn trust of a top-notch engineering team
- Experience managing high-profile decisions & escalations that require executive coordination & sign-off
- Ability to be both a visionary and in the weeds when needed. Lead by example
- Very organized with impeccable attention to detail and relentless follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an affinity for explaining product complexity with ease to different stakeholders
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset: enjoys the challenge of a fast-paced, complex startup environment
- Able to organize multiple priorities simultaneously and still consistently meet deadlines
- A passion for travel!
