We are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our London team at a time of growth for the business. The candidate should have three to five years sales experience in the payments sector. They will display leadership, organisation, payments knowledge, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the UK sales function.
Responsibilities - what is the role?
As a Business Development Manager, you will be required to find and manage new sales opportunities. The Go to Market plan for Fire focuses on the corporate market. The mission of Fire is to help businesses bring new products to market by providing integrated payment services, helping businesses automate payment processes as a key part of their product offering. Examples of our clients include corporate businesses, platforms, fintechs and large financial institutions.
The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:
- Prospect for new clients and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Qualify all leads and opportunities.
- Progress opportunities via a structured pipeline.
- Operate with the highest quality engagement and touch point management.
- Win new business and meet revenue targets.
This is a great opportunity to impact the success of Fire and to play a key role in the growth of the business. You will report to the CEO and work closely with the marketing, product and customer success teams.
You will be expected to actively contribute to the Go to Market plan and should have sound technical and payment solutions knowledge.
Experience - what should you have?
- You should be passionate about payments and selling.
- At least 3/5 years’ experience of selling in payments.
- An extensive network of connections across the payments industry.
- Be a self-starter and assured in your decision making.
- A strong communicator and an expert in explaining complex concepts.
- Confident creating the highest quality engagement with prospective clients.
