At Valantis Labs, we believe the future landscape of onchain order flow will be defined by applications. We’re seeking a mid to senior-level Backend Engineer to join our innovative team and lead our backend development efforts. We seek someone who has both strong successes in DeFi and experience building scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance API infrastructure and Solver-related scripts/modules that interface with Valantis pools.
• Build and maintain offchain infrastructure that interacts with Valantis Pools and Modules.
• Optimize onchain DEX operations and create efficient Solver solutions
• Collaborate on external partner integrations, including new system integations and our Request for Quote (RfQ) API.
• Contribute to the development of smart contracts and blockchain-related backend scripts

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 3-5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and efficient systems.
• Proven experience in DeFi or blockchain-related projects, particularly in building Solvers or optimizing onchain operations.
• Proficiency in highly optimizable programming languages like Rust is highly valued. We currently write RfQ API in GoLang, smart contracts in solidity, sdk in typescript. In the future, we aim to use whichever stack is the most fit for our needs considering the experience of our team (including yourself).
• Strong understanding of API design and implementation, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Excitement about understanding the unique architecture of Valantis Pools and interfacing with growing intents space.

• A versatile engineer comfortable working across multiple domains, from cloud infrastructure to blockchain development. Understanding and ability to write smart contracts if needed is a plus.
• Self-motivated individual capable of autonomously solving complex challenges.
• Excitement about working at a start up uniquely positioned at the cutting edge of onchain order flow & DEXes. Comfortable implementing novel products.
• Strong communicator who values clear and frequent team interactions.
• Commitment to upholding best practices in engineering, security, and system design through documentation and respect for processes.
• Passion for DeFi and a desire to contribute to the future of onchain liquidity and order flow.
