About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Account Executive to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and a passion for engaging with early-stage companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business, maintaining client relationships, and attending in-person events to meet with prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Tech sector and other early-stage companies in need of accounting services
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their bookkeeping, tax, and tax credit needs.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Event Participation: Attend and represent Fondo at local events, networking opportunities, and client meetings to promote our services and expand our client base.
- HubSpot Utilization: Use HubSpot to track leads, manage sales pipelines, and report on sales activities and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to align on sales strategies and deliver client solutions.
Qualifications
- Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area with the ability to attend in-person events and meetings regularly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as an Account Executive in sales.
- Proven track record in sales, with a focus on client acquisition and relationship management.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, tax, and tax credit services, preferably with experience in the SaaS sector.
- Proficiency in using HubSpot or similar CRM tools to manage sales processes and client interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and prospects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: OTE $100,000–$120,000 per year, including a base salary of $80,000 and performance-based commission. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
