Account Executive
Job Description
The Account Executives responsible for our public sector customers are driven by our mission to make the world a safer place. We support agencies across the intelligence community to disrupt criminal operations, reduce illicit activity, recover funds for victims, and investigate cases that involve digital assets. Our Account Executives for the public sector have existing and trustworthy reputations within government customers and prospects, and understand the complexities of government procurement processes.
In this role, you'll work alongside a Senior Account Executive to develop new business opportunities and expand our footprint across various agencies within the Department of Defense. An ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of the sales process, previous experience in inside sales or business development, and is eager to take the next step in their career.
In this role, you will:
- Substantially increase our foothold in the Department of Defense through strategic and relentless prospecting and developing your sales pipeline
- Meet and exceed your sales quota, participating in all aspects of the sales process - from discovery calls to closing deals
- Help to develop compelling product positioning and messages to specific to agencies’ mission, competitive drivers, sales channels, and more
- Build customer relationships based on trust and transparency, resulting in network referrals that ultimately build Chainalysis’ brand awareness
- Create and execute go-to-market plans that will result in predictable and increasing quarterly forecasts
- Build a diverse pipeline of opportunities resulting in consistent and accurate forecasting
- Develop relationships across departments at Chainalysis allowing you to provide expert advice to prospects related to technical concepts, product roadmaps, solutions implementations, training, and more
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Experience in a business development or inside sales role focused on customers and prospects within the US DoD (investigations, proprietary data, or cybersecurity preferred)
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to advance their career as a sales professional
- Understanding of the entire SaaS sales motion within the Intelligence Community
- Experience working with systems integrators, resellers, distributors and other partners to extend our reach
- The willingness and ability to be on-site with customers in the D.C. area 2-4 days a week
- Top Secret Security Clearance required; TS/SCI preferred
